How to Jump Start Your Vehicle

A dead battery strikes fear into the hearts of even the most seasoned of motorists. However, if you carry jumper cables, you can attempt to start your vehicle's battery if you are in the proximity of another car or truck. Here's how you can do that.

Jump starting a vehicle's battery is possible if two vehicles are no further than 18 inches apart. Both vehicles must be turned off and put in park when starting the process. Jumper cables are marked with positive and negative ends that help you attach the clamps to the appropriate terminals of each vehicle's battery. Start the engine of the god vehicle and let it run one to two minutes to allow it to transfer power to the weak battery.

Weak batteries are one of the most difficult problems to discern. Bring your vehicle into our service center here at Falls Motor City in Cuyahoda Falls for a full assessment of your battery's power.
