What safety features are offered?

Although power is most definitely at the heart of why many people choose the Ram 1500, you can't forget about what this truck has to offer for safety. One of the top safety features it offers is adaptive cruise control, which works hard to maintain a set speed and keep your vehicle at a safe distance from other vehicles around you. Beyond adaptive cruise control, there is also blind-spot monitoring, which proves to be especially helpful on the highway when you're trying to change lanes. You might also get Smart Beam Headlights, which are a part of the Safety Group package, and automatically adjust depending on the time of day and if other vehicles are approaching.

What trims are offered?

The Ram 1500 is most certainly not short on trim level options. This is a truck that has the consumer in mind, and wants to make sure that you are getting the features that you need for your daily driving experience. The base trim, Tradesman, comes standard with power windows and locks, a 5-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 3, air conditioning, keyless entry, and a rearview camera. Stepping up to the Big Horn trim gets you fog lights, 18-inch aluminum wheels, chrome bumpers and grille, and steering-wheel audio controls. Another option, Laramie, adds heated and ventilated power front seats, a 7-inch premium digital driver cluster display, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a nine-speaker Alpine audio system. The highest model, Limited, includes a 12-inch touchscreen, air suspension, blind-spot monitoring, and power running boards.

What is the engine lineup?

One of the areas of the Ram 1500 that everyone is going to be looking at first is the engine lineup. That is more than understandable, especially with the announcement that this pickup truck is now also going to be offered with an EcoDiesel option. This EcoDiesel 3.0-liter V6 can crank out up to 480 pound-feet of torque, and around 260 horsepower. Beyond this addition, most Ram 1500 models will come standard with a 3.6-liter V6 engine. This engine can get you 269 pound-feet of torque and 305 horsepower. After you're done looking at these two engines you can check out the 5.7-liter V8. This engine can create up to 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. Whether you get two-wheel or four-wheel drive, or one of the engines above, you'll still find them paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
